Default 2008 or 2012 tC?

Hey guys!

I could not find anything related to my question that I am about to ask. So.. Here it goes...

I own a 08 tc and like the 2012 tc as well and i am thinking of trading in.

Do you think its a bad idea or good? it is a tough choice for me because my 08 is my first tC.

what are your experiences with the 2012 good bad awesome or something not listed?

anything will help with my decision just want to make sure i am not screwing myself over by getting a newer edition.

I will be going from this:

To the 2012

If you enjoy your first gen. and it's running fine, I'd just keep it and save for something better.

Thanks best advice all day hahaha! I'm going to look at other cars but they won't get my tC I put too much time into it to just give her away

What keeev said! Plus its probably paid off or close to it and why jump back into more payments if your happy. I like the 1st gen better anyways. I think the exterior is much better and yea the 2ng gen has a few things I like (6spd, steering wheel, better seats, gauge cluster) its just so much better looking! Cant be in a car I don't like the looks of.

So I decided not too go for the newer edition I agree the body style isn't all that good but yes the features are ok and with that said.... I went there to have a second look anyways while there I asked about the 2013 so the sales guy said oh yes ok Ill pull one out for you so I followed him and the guy scraped another 2013 tc while pulling it out then he hit a door to a civic si on concrete I looked at the guy and said yeah nvm it doesn't have the auto windows and you can not drive and i am afraid to hand over my tC as you may total it. The guy didn't even feel bad about it and then tried to sell it to me anyways I told him no I just needed renassurance to not get the car and left.

I love my new TC. I think the stylings on the second generation are great compared to the first one which just looks like a blob

Scion downgraded with the new body style in the sense of material and options and little small odd ends. I would stick with the 08'.

Agreed. But I disagree with the blob comment its like saying the new xB is a deformed toaster on wheels. It's not and I like them but its too much room for me. I like the 08 mainly because its the first Toyota scion that I have ever had and the features are great especially since you can hide away the CD player with the door shut you don't know what's in there so if it gets broken into they won't go for that right off the bat. But with 11-13 models its noticeable. And the auto windows are what sold me came in handy more than ten times since I only drive manuals my only problem I have either tC is that wife hit it and I gotta get a new bumper her license plate left holes in the bumper and the paint is cracked aside from that the car is great. Which reminds me if anyone is selling a FM bumper let me know I hate the fact the bumper is damaged ( I'm OCD with the tC) or know of a place that I could get one at a good deal i'll take it up.
