As far as i know the 15 lights are the same as the 14 lights... unless Scion is crazy and changed them all for some odd reason.

Your welcome... and headlights were H11 for 11-13 tC and changed to 9012 bulbs for the 14 but for HIDs it's 9006 is what will fit closest.

I see the 9006 is supposed to work for the 9012. will there still be a high beam? id like to use the silverstar 9006 but I want to make sure I still have a high beam. the 9012 are expensive for a factory replacement.

The stock lights will likely be brighter than Silverstars. I looked at getting Piaa's but there was little point. If you are going to replace the bulbs, you might as well look into an HID kit. As for the high beams.... both the high and low beam use the same bulb. For the low beams a cut-off plate blocks part of the beam, and for high beams an actuator moves the plate out of the way. This allows a brighter bulb to be used without blinding oncoming motorists (much).

There are a few 9012 kits available, hopefully you don't have to modify the tabs on those like you do with the 9006.

Ok so my first post here guys go easy on me haha. Anyways so my wife has a 14 tC but the stock lamps in the projectors are soooo dull and she has a really hard time seeing at night. I've even noticed it as well. So at first I was going to put better halogens in there but I really don't think that will help that much with light output. At least from the results I've seen. My next option was to have a place put hids in but I don't really trust any places around here and the nearest place would be about an hour away. Also I really don't like how hot hids get and am worried about burnout. My wife has to drive a pretty dangerous mountain highway and visibility at night is key, she can't afford to have a headlight burn out or not work right. I've installed hids before but the instructions were crap and they had a stupid flicker along with the fact they would auto shut off after like an hour I think from getting too hot. They were prolly a crap brand and to be honest I can't remember what they were. I also hated the harness issue and having to connect wires to the battery and zip tie all this stuff. I just want something easy to install and that looks nice and will give good light output. So I'm really thinking of putting an led conversion in but don't know much about the ones I found and was hoping you guys could shed some light on them or suggest better ones that would be just as easy of an install. They are the lumen g7's. http://www.carid.com/2014-scion-tc-led-lights/lumen-led-headlight-conversion-kit-88857003.html

These look super easy to install and I retain the factory wiring and the ballast is in line. Seems super easy, almost too easy or too good to be true. Any thoughts? Are these ok? I just want my wife to have decent lights and I don't want to pay someone to do a crap job when I could do it better myself.

Hey, did you ever purchase those lights? I have a 2014 Scion Tc that I just bought, and I'm having the hardest time seeing driving at night, and can't for the life of me find a brighter halogen bulb. Did you have good luck with the G7's or did you find another brand? I'm new to the LED conversion as well, I just want something where I can see a bit better then I do now. Been searching for about two weeks and no one seems to have any answers lol

Ya I know I ended up having to post in the Toyota 4Runner forum since I have a 4Runner and those guys helped out a lot. I ended up going hid instead of led actually. I bought a kit from xenondepot, I'll link it for you. Any ways the kit was super easy to install and retains all factory wiring. Way brighter too and you don't need to worry about glare for oncoming traffic. It works perfect. You'll have to go to their main page tho and select your make and year and stuff but here's the link for the ones I got. Spend the extra money and get the Phillips too. They have a regular kit and a Phillips one. The Phillips is better. It's their extreme hid kit. http://www.xenondepot.com/9012-automotive-bulbs-s/1029.htm

I ended up being able to secure the ballasts very easily and I can help tell you where and what I did if your interested and you pick up this kit. Also this kit is very well made, all the connectors are waterproof, they have rubber ribs as you connect it so it's a really good seal you won't have to worry about it. It's a quality kit and you can tell when you open it up. Also it comes with relay harnesses which you don't need so don't that makes install even easier. Hit me up if you have more questions.

Hey that would be super helpful! Do you have any pictures of what your wife's look like at night? I'm trying to convince my husband this would be the way to go, I'm just worried about them over heating or shutting off while driving. Haven't had any problems with them? Thanks for your help!
