2012 tC Audio wiring harness help
HELP PLEASE!!!
I've got a 2012 tC with the standard Pioneer head unit, and i'm looking for a wiring harness that will fit it. And does anyone know if this Pioneer has preamp outputs? I have some old
amps that only have line inputs. . Thanks a mill!

What decent HU doesn't come with subwoofer RCA outs?
I got the Alpine that no one seems to talk about cause they're talking about the pioneer... but the Alpine stock HU has RCA outs.. actually 3 sets of them for multiple amps (Front, Rear, Woofer)
I just wired my sub to it. Extremely easy. Hot/Ground wires to the obvious, RCA plugs to radio, and the remote wire tapped into the fuse box (power outlet circuit). no cutting stock wires...

Thanks TC-M, but i don't have the alpine. . .ive got the pioneer. . .it's all that was offered when i bought the car. . .that's great that yours has the rca's you need, but i'm trying to find out what i've got without rippn the f'n radio out.
bro...... rip the f'n radio out. Its the easiest part seriously. The plastic piece around it comes off very easy.. just pull out from bottom edge and work all sides out. The radio itself has four 10mm bolts holding it in. There are radios HU setups that require a key-like tool to remove.. not these. unbolt and there is plenty slack to pull out enough..
Now get in there and put some muscle in your music.. lol

If ur deadset on knowing before going... then you could always google your model number and include search terms like wiring harness.. try both web search and images. Your bound to find a pic of the back of ur headunit
Taking the radio is retarded easy man, and here is a video to help you out!
Once you get the center trim piece around the radio off, which literally just pulls straight out, use a 10mm socket on the bolts holding the radio in. Flip it around and see if you have jacks....BAMB!

If you're like me and Don't want to cut stock wires for warranty purposes, Strip the end of the remote wire. Locate fuse box under dash on farthest left/driver side, use cover as guide to locate "power outlet" and with fuse out, slip the wire up one side(be sure not to cross ends of the fuse as this will cause short circuit)
Like this: here -> |--| Or |--|<-
Not touching both ->|--|<-
But as soon as you have the wire vertically against an end and in place slip the fuse in to secure both. replace cover. I cut a small notch out the side of cover to ensure the wire wasn't pulled or pinched hard.
