Default 2014 Tc - Oil Leak(Part 2)

Hello all,

I cleaned what I could of the undercarriage of the car. I replaced the valve cover gasket as the valve cover was covered in gunk and I suspected it was from there. I finally get under the car today to see that there still is the slow leak. I notice that my PCV valve hose is covered in oil, but I don't see a clear path of where it could be leaking to. I am also unsure if the PCV valve caused the Rear main seal to fail(assuming this is a rear main seal leak). Please see image attached. I plan to replace the PCV valve this week, however I am curious of where the leak could actually be coming from and next steps regarding this issue.

Think this might help. You may need to get a UV light as well.

Amazon Amazon

Clean off the oil and then add this dye to the engine oil. Run the engine and then use the flashlight to find the location of the leak. Good luck!

I know this is an old thread now, but just curious if you ever found what was leaking? I have a leak that seems to be coming from the same area...
