Add one more to the list...
I recently bought a new 2011 Scion tC for my girlfriend (well, we both did as she is paying me back for it...). So far, we have both been very pleased. She is racking the miles pretty quick. We bought it about 4 months ago and are racking up the miles pretty good - close to 8,000 miles now.
What is everyone doing for winter wheels/tires? I found an EXTREMELY good deal on a set of used 17's from the older generation tC's but am not sure if they will fit. Has anyone tried that yet? I guess I should have checked into that before buying them but it was a really, really good deal and they had only 400 miles - they look brand new.
Thanks!!

Does anyone know what other cars do the tC1 wheel fit? I have seen them all over the place in price too...from $ 100 in extremely rough condition to $ 400 in excellent condition. That is about right, correct?
Here is a pic of the new tC by the way...
We are having bad weather here and the car was clean...so I had to play tetris to get it in the garage...

For the performance, you simply can't beat that car. You can pick up a slightly used one with low miles in the high 30's to low 40's...they run low 11's on the 1/4 and trap close to 130mph with an intake/tune ($ 1000 or less). They destroy cars that are twice as much on the road-course...but are a handful to drive...
This is my second one and have yet to find something to replace it with (without draining my savings...LOL).

Yeah I go to a lot of track days at Road Atlanta to take photos and they have no problem keeping up with the more expensive cars. Must be nice to drive to the track, thrash it all day, then drive home lol.

We had a few feet of snowfall here in Maryland last winter and, as fun173 said, the car handles fine with the stock setup. I wouldn't worry too much about spending money on snow tires/wheels. Especially if you plan on getting new ones down the road.
