I think a Toyota badge would look so much better on it. I still have a long ways to go on paying off my tC so it'll be a while before I get a chance to get me the FT-86.

 

At least there will be more Scions on the road. The dealer I bought my car from said they are selling really slow. I got an ok deal on my car, but I also have 4 free oil changes. Rare cares can be good, just sucks when the parts are rare too. Also I am in Ontario so it is still a new brand.

22K+tax and destination fee= at25K. Definitely a good pick. Honesty, the car gives me a Genesis (rear)+ Forta koup(door+ wheel) feel...imo...and maybe a weird one

Haven't they said it will be a 2+2 from the start? Isn't that like complaining that a 4-door sedan doesn't have a third row, or that RWD car has a large transmission tunnel?

The Camry and Corolla sedans continued to lead the brand's figures, despite overall declines - Camry sales fell 16.4 percent to 31,464 cars, and Corolla sales dropped 1.7 percent to 30,234. The ever-popular RAV4 saw a 39.9-percent year-over-year decrease, accounting for 16,083 vehicle sales, while the Prius hybrid enjoyed a 52-percent sales jump, with 18,605 cars leaving showrooms in March.

I didn't see any for the first three weeks I had mine (bought beginning of March). They seem to be cropping up here and there now, but I have yet to see another manual.

This will be a good halo car for Scion. Currently it's an econobox that has fallen way behind in the class, a boxy crossoverish thing that seems to appeal mainly to aging boomers, and a modern version of an Accord liftback.



(That was always my favorite Accord, so that's probably why the tC appealed to me right off the bat, though the tC is a larger, much heavier car)

If they're gonna try to sell it for $25K, it better have some serious muscle to back it up. And naturally aspirated 2.0L doesn't sound promising.

$22,300 gets you into a Mustang with a 305hp V6. $24,600 for a Challenger with similar power. $22,250 for a Genesis Coupe.

For lower, say, $21-22K, it might be a decent seller.

 

As far as release date, I read that it's being released in Australia during the second half of 2012 or the beginning half of 2013.

But that's Australia, who knows about the US and other countries... There's supposed to be a model that's close to production ready at one of the big car shows sometime around October though.

I definitely think there's going to be a turbo. Id be surprised if there was no turbo option. And I read somewhere it would be near 30k for turbo, but that was months ago

 

if the turbo is gonna be 30 plus thats too much and i wont be getting it. if its with turbo around 25 i will

 

Only time will tell.. It looks to be sooo promising though
