Default Bought new odometer, Cant set miles.

I bought a new odometer for my scion tC and realized when I plugged it in that the miles don't change on the odometer. So my question is how do I get the right mileage on my odometer?

No the mileage on my old odometer is 23,000 and I had to buy a new odometer because there were some technical issues with my old one and the now odometer (I bought off ebay) has 2000 miles on it.

i'd try resetting the whole car, remove both battery terminals, both pos and negative and touch them together for about 15 seconds, this will drain any electrical current out of the vehicle that may be lingering, should rest ecu and bcm

but make sure both battery terminals are OFF the battery before touchin em together lol

Hahaha yeah that would definitely be the safest route. Talk about a bad day!

If you changed it, and the mileage reads a different number than the mileage of your car, that means the mileage is stored in the odometer.
