Default Clicking noise, no start

Hey guys, anyone know if there is a starter solenoid on our cars or are those no longer used? my car makes a clicking sound, so I have to turn the key back, then it works sometimes. I thought it was the battery because I am at my 2 year mark, and figured it was time for a new one. Should have had it bench tested. I bought a new interstate battery. it worked for a few days, no the click again. sometimes it starts right up, sometimes I have to go through the on off turn of the key for 3,5,10 times before it turns over.

I'm thinking of taking it into Toyota and playing dumb, but I bet the stupid car wont replicate the issue once I get to the dealership.

Any ideas?

Sounds electrical to me dude. Bring it in and play stupid. Refuse to take the car back till they figure it out. Take a rental for a day or two.

Success! It's the starter. And Toyota is actually replacing it! I was dreading that they would try to blame it on something i have done like some of the other horror stories I have on warranty issues. They even threw in the rental Camry for free. :-)
