Default Clutch install papers

I'm thinking about getting a new clutch but want to see what the install entails... so what im looking for is the toyota install instructions if anyone has access to the database...

if not and you have installed one i just have a few questions

how difficult was the install
what clutch did you go with
how long did it take
special tools needed

i would preffer the papers from the toyota database but i dont have access

Well it takes about 8 hours for experienced tech to do the work on a lift. From the repair procedure it states that you have to remove both the engine and trans assembly from the car. I have friend with access to TIS (Toyota database) but it would take me a bit to try and get them. In a garage at home would prob take you almost twice or more if you have no experience.

We were able to replace the clutch with out dropping the engine. But you have to have something to hold the engine up since you have to remove two of the three engine mounts..
I had my dad who is an experienced tech do it and he had it done in roughly 3 and a half hours. Mind you we didn't drop the engine.

Yea. All it takes is the know how and right tools. I havent done it personally, but i looked at the procedures and the manual that shows times. ive only dropped A FWD trans on an alero for tech school and we had to drop the engine craddle and support engine. Then dropped the trans and installed back in roughly 6 hours. But not every car is the same. You prob have to do the same in this one. Or somehow pull it from the top.
