Debadged tC and painted Scion emblems gloss black.

I'm thinking I'm going to order some matching yellow paint for the background to the front. It doesn't look bad with black on black though. Doesn't show up great in the photo, but looks great in person.

Did you take them off the car to do that? If so, please share how they come off. I have searched high and low, but I cant seem to find a DIY on the emblem removal. Thanks

For the back Scion emblem and tC, use a blow dryer to heat up the glue behind the emblem, then careful slide a credit card, or some other thin item (I used my son's Pokemon card, haha). With the glue heated up, it's pretty easy to get through.

Then just carefully pick off the residue left on the car, or use a rag with Goof-Off or any other anti-adhesive on it.

The front is easy, just slide a credit card into the side and pry it off. Should just snap out easily. There's 2 pieces, the emblem, and a black plastic piece it snaps in to.

For anyone who hasn't seen a RS 7.0, for some reason they have some ugly silver/blue/grey lining where the body kit meets the car (and only in some places).

The silver/blue/grey just clashed badly with the rest of the car. Decided to use some pin stripe tape to make it black. Stands out a bit more, but it matches the rest of the car much better. I don't think the pictures really do it justice (phone isn't that great for camera).

Also, I painted the back of the front emblem with a pretty close yellow. It looks a little light to me, but my wife thinks it's really close. It will do for now, but I may repaint it with actually 5A3 paint if I'm not happy with it.

That looks really really nice. Where did you get the tape and how hard was it to do? If I were to try this and messed it up could I peel the tape off and do it again?

^^ That's funny that you did that, Duke. A friend of mine who's a body guy...That was the first thing he said. We have to paint the adhesive lining around the body kit. Nice job, I like

I bought it at O'Reilly's Auto Part store. It's very easy to put on, and should peel off without any problems if you make a mistake.

I was thinking of doing that to the molding around the lip kit. Wasnt sure if I'd like it. Now that I saw it I think I'll do it.

I am not sure if this question was directed at me, but if it was, I do not have a push to start.

There were only 2 sizes at the shop I went to, 1/4" and 1/8".

I used the 1/4". It's slightly larger than the grey trim, but not obnoxiously so.
