Hello! I just picked up this car 2 months ago and it has been a joy to drive. I switched from an 08 honda civic. I don't plan on doing too much to this car as I'll probably end up single if I don't marry this girl soon

It's not a good idea to be stacking your carpet mats like that. I hope the driver's side isn't like that.

 

I am not sure if it's a safety thing. The driver side's mat isn't stacked but it's not like it can be since the mat "locks" wouldn't allow it.

I did that for the others as another layer to keep dirt out yeah.. I am weird like that.

 

As long as it's locked in-place and the brake pedal can be depressed fully it should be fine. It's just something that Toyota warns specifically against doing and in general is bad practice.

 

mine is the same way...except i didnt use the scion all-weather mats...i just got some cheap ones at target...really thin

and i only use it during rainy weather and then store it in the trunk during normal times

(and i vacuum frequently)

by the way..how did you do the black mirrors? did u just get stock ones from a black tC2 ones and replace it?

I just popped the covers out, used black plastidip and just sprayed 2 coats. If you know about plastdip, then you'll know that it's just rubber paint and a temporary application as it will start to peel off over time (but I'm talking months).

Let it dry and just pop them back in!

 

Take the part number and check your local Canadian dealer...you might be pleasantly surprised...

 

What about those whose heads don't separate top and bottom when we speak (South Park reference)? What will our igloo-dwelling brothers find?

 

Competitive prices benchmarked from the USA. I can't remember exactly, but I think we are cheaper on some parts than the USA. But its funny, with our strong dollar, everyone always believes the USA is cheaper for everything...Oh well, only those that search up here will know the true "savings".
