Default Did anyone get the "VIP Scion Security System?"

I know the tc comes with an immobilizer standard (unless the salesman lied to me)

but i was wondering what does the security system have that the stock immobilizer does not have?

also does having both the system and the immobilizer lower insurance rates more than just having the immobilizer?

IIRC, the immobilizer just uses the chip transponder from the key to start and the security system is for point-of-entry including glass breakage. Depending on your insurance company, your premium should lower with the addition of a security system, a good amount.

It uses the horn. It does not include a new siren.

I would totally get the security system if you are planning to mod the car a little. A little added piece of mind is worth its weight in gold.

My security alarm does 2 different cherping noise when i unlock it & 1 noise from the other idk it its all the same or not.

But somehow when i unlock it and leave it for a while it automatically arms itself for like a good 10 minutes and the door locks are still unlock.

Im getting irritated cuz it keeps doing that is there a way that you can bypass it to not make it do that? That's if you guys know what im talking about.

how would i know if the dealer installs the VIP scion security system or some other alarm system? cause some of the descriptions here sounds pretty generic. Is the VIP scion security basically a generic alarm system? could i do better having a third party install something else?
