So I've been driving my tC for a few months now and never had it go too close to empty on gas. Does anyone know how far the little line will go under "E" before it finally runs out of gas? Or will it even go under the "E" at all?? Just curious...

 

honostly this all depends on what you have done and what kind of gas you put in it that line is the e for when you have the most done to the car normally you have abou 1-2 gallons after the E before the car will stall

 

You still have the gas light to worry about before it runs on empty.

Once that light comes on then start worrying.

The manual says the tank is 55L and I have put in 53L already when the light came on but not yet "E" but very close to it.

 

the manual does not take into consideration the excess space in the gas lines and the lower parts of the tank... plus the manuals 55L stops at the F mark which you can bypass by at least 1 gallon

 

Over 50 miles once the light comes on. Then you are looking at a 14 gallon fillup.

 

My low fuel light comes on with about 2 gal left in the tank.

when the light comes on, it roughly still has about 2.5 gallons left for me. my light is going to come on after i get off work here then see how many gallons it will take.

 

I got to 390 miles on my odometer today before having to fill it up and it took 13 gallons. I think I read it's a 14.5 gallon tank, so I figured I might have got another 40 miles or so? It would have been scary though. So maybe 420 miles at best, but I usually get around 330-350 miles per tank
