Howdy.
Greetings all.
New member and proud new owner of a 2011 tC as of March 10th, 2011. A little background: I'm a current resident of the metropolitan Detroit area. Throughout my life I went from driving a '90 or '91 DSM Laser RST(It's been a while :3) to a '97 Rav4 to an '02 Celica GTS to an '05 STi to a '10 Prius and finally to the '11 tC.
I know very little about tC's in general and am sure I will be better educated in time as I browse these forums. I'll do my best to search all forums before asking any questions and also try to avoid asking vague questions. I'm very excited about my new tC and hope to have some engaging and not-so engaging exchanges on this forum.

Thanks for the warm welcome! My name is to kind of let people know I know very little but am willing to learn and take some constructive/not-so constructive criticism and advice. I have the TRD Lowering springs, sport muffler, 19" alloys, and TWM shortshifter kit with cable bushings already on it.
I've been trying to get a hold of someone at world motorsports in reference to that post in force induction from kareem. Turbo + 2.5" exhaust + free shipping kind of sold me. Especially being out here in MI, shipping rates are insane from CA.
I've pretty much been a lurker on this site for the past month or so, just learning the basics. So, feel free to shoot me some comments/advice/criticism. Ears and mind are open.

^ WTF??? You're "just learning the basics" and you have already installed:
- TRD Lowering springs

- with a Descendant turbo and 2.5" exhaust on order???
I don't know if I should hate you, worship you or suck up to you! If all you say is true (and pics would help convince me), I believe you have surpassed all other tC2s on Scionlife for sickest car.

Now I do have a question. Did you do the work yourself or do you have someplace/someone you go to and have it installed?

Hehe. Basics as in basics of a tC. I've never owned a Scion before. I had an 05 STi, and thought I outgrew fast cars so I bought a 2010 Prius. It was tough driving an automatic, let alone not having enough kick to pass people while merging onto I-696. So, I went with something I could build. A new project. I have some pics up of my car in my profile. Nautical Blue Metallic is the color. Me and a friend are going to probably install the turbo in a couple weeks. There's really only one place out here to get it tuned (Auto Addiction). They have a Mustang dyno, so I'm looking forward to some accurate numbers. Once the turbo comes in I'll post more pics.
I probably won't be able to tune the car on my own. As for installs, its usually me and a couple of buddies I know that are more car savvy than I. As for the short shifter and exhaust, its pretty simple stuff. Especially since TWM pretty much gives you directions with captioned pictures. The exhaust is just a sport muffler so it took like 10 minutes.

Well, you need some better pictures. 
(You've only had your car since March and that much snow on the ground? Eww!!!) But you sure are representing Blue well with your ride!

:D Likewise, sir. I get a lot of help from my friends, so I learn a ton from them. I'm pretty much here to get educated, get ideas, and pass on whatever knowledge I gain from my own experience with the tC, soon to be tC-turbo.
I'd like to do some autox, but putting the turbo on will most likely put me in street-mod class or somewhere where I can't be competitive (up against beefed up miata's or s2k's) or my index time will be poo. Scratch that, my index time is always poo, lol. Still got lots to learn. >:D

lifestyles of the rich and the famous... I can't wait to be out of college and have a better paying job...
Until then I will live vicariously through you. Not sure if you are into cf or exterior appearance mods, but there is a sick cf vented hood available through descendant...lol

Just don't end up like me, voracious modding bug all up in yer bum, good job, but a Wife that puts the brakes on slapping a turbo on our 2 week old car
