I plan to take MY TC2 to the DRAG STRIP..
I am going to take my car to the track either March 5th or 6th, not sure yet or date or track. I might go my local track on Saturday the 5th, or either I might go to MIR, on the 6th only. I am not doing both. But with that being said, I hope to run at least 15.1-15.5 @ 87.x-92.x mph. It’s going to be hard to get advice for the TC’s from my fellow buddies, since not a lot of people race them. So, I have to experiment and try to find the best rpm to launch at. I say 2000rpm. Any suggestions? Since the car runs out of steam around 5800-6000rpm, that’s where I plan to shift at. Also weather and track conditions will factor in, so I will adjust. I plan on running the car 3 times, if they are not packed with cars.
And before I take my car to the track, I have to change the transmission fluid. A must for everyone, but not everyone does this. Bad mistake! Since the tire pressure recommend for the 2011 Scion TC is 33PSI for the FRONT, and 30PSI for the REAR. I will try those PSI’s on the first run. On the second and third, I will change it as long as I get those amount of runs and depends on track prep, weather etc(cold, warm, etc). I plan to keep the car stock no weight reductions (no removing the spare, back seats, passenger seat, etc). Yes removing 100lbs should improve times by one tenth of a second blah blah. LOL
. Not going to happen at least for now. Oh yea for gas, still 87, and I going plan on putting ¼ or so in it. I will weigh the car, and hopefully have some footage for your guys and gals.
- With traction Control
- Without traction Control(completely off)

Why 87 gas?!?!
Why launching at only 2000 rpm?
I hope you plan on shifting at 6000 rpm!
How do you adjust to weather conditions?
I'm looking foward to see if you actually make the 15 sec range................
