Are the speakers worth replacing? They're not bad at all from the factory

to be honest, if you are not an audiophile (as in if you don't really care if u have the best sound, as long as it just sounds good in general)...then no you don't really need it. personally, for the average driver the only benefit of switching the speakers is getting rid of the stock woofer with something else and finding a different solution to distributing the bass through out the cabin. because, you know that door rattle issue thats fixed by paper? i'd say 99% of the culprit is those woofers. Toyota/Scion for some reason installed ones that have too much bass that the stock doors can't handle. since i switch to the OEM+ system, which replaces all the speakers and adds a sub in the back, i hear no door rattles at all

Yeah I was going to go with OEM Audio+, Daniel contacted me to do an install on my tC2 and it sounds like a sweet deal but I just don't think that one 8" sub is enough for me.

have u heard it? trust me...the 8" is MORE than enough

100% of all the people that have heard it in my car were surprised it was only one 8" sub....it just hit that hard and that clear. obviously a bigger sub would lead to more bass, but clarity would suffer. so yea for their system 8" is perfect

No I havent hear it yet and Daniel swears it is enough, But the whole reason I ripped the back of my car apart is for my system install. I'm not doing anything crazy, just two Alpine Type R 10's is what I had planned.

Ahhh understood. Each person has their own reasons for doing things, just making it clear that the one 8" is perfect for bass and sound quality. There is nothing lacking in the system

yea JBL...i always get the two mixed up

but JBL is in a partnership with Toyota (which also means Scion/Lexus)

...also JBL does speakers/woofers/amps. which is what i believe is in the tC. (and what he's asking for)

With Headunits, they are relatively free to pick any other manufacturer...such as Pioneers/Alpines

i know fully loaded vehicles come with JBL. my avalon sounded way more clear than the tc does. im fairly certain that our cars dont have JBL but i have yet to pull my door panels off. i think i read from toyota that its a complete pioneer system, but i could be wrong

kind of hard to believe that it would be a full pioneer system since the 2011 models had alpine headunit options
