hey guys,

ive been wrapping the removable sections of the tc's dash, i am however have an issue with the Head unit section of the dash, more specifically the part that wraps around the hazzard light section. if anyone had any ideas on how to get around that section? or a DIY on how to get this area as clean as the rest of them

hey man i have removed all of the trim, i just dont know how to wrap around the hazzard lights button, if anyone has ever wrapped around a very unquie surface please give me some hints!

 

you wrap it like any other part that you would wrap just have to go back through and cut out for each button

 

the issue is pulling it tight and making sure that there are no creases. i have wrapped the rest nicely, its just there is no way (it seems to me) that i can get around it.

 

start from the center of the center console piece and work your way out to both sides. Dont start one side to another that'll suck.

 

yeah it always start in the middle and work out and make sure you are using heat and a squeege and just work it out

 

Start in the middle like where the clock is? Or the top of the head unit area?

 

Are you using a hair dryer or a heat gun? That helps a lot.

 

yeah im using a hair dryer, it just creases too much around the hazard button, i have done every other part of the car lol. just this one piece!

 

when i did mine i removed the waterfall from the car and cut out a single sheet of vinyl to cover it all and kind of pulled it tight and layed it over the waterfall then with heat slowly worked it from the middle out while lifting up the outside edges and reapplying.
hope that makes sense

 

i also used a heat gun so not sure if that would make much of a difference then a hair dryer
