Default Just joined, recent purchase of 2014 tC

I have always been partial to RWD cars for the handling abilities and better weight dist, but I have to say this 2014 tC handles GREAT!
I also have a 2012 Miata GT. The Scion is my DD, very fun car! Sticks to the road even in rain.

Does anyone know if they are good in snow with the stock tires?
Thx, Drew

Welcome aboard AverageGuy, to answer your question, I would not recommend the stock tires if you plan to drive through a lot of snow or if the plows do a lousy job in your area. Most of us in the snow belt have opted for a set of winter tires over all-seasons. I've got a set of Firestone Winterforce mounted on 16" steel wheels and they've worked well for me. (It was cheaper for the tires, wheels, mounting, balancing, & shipping; then it was for 18" snow tires alone!) Usually the more you spend, the better the tire (Blizzak's and X-Ice being at the top of the list for performance and price), but any snow tire is better then the stock tires in cold, snowy weather. Hope this helps.
