Just a question
*Edit* get the companies contact info and see if they have guidelines to get sponsored. Also send in pics of your car and your plans for the car. I'd also include what shows you intend to go to it's all about your car being an advertisement for the company. Don't expect to get anything free!

i think i've seen this question before...
anyways here is how i do it
1) look out for postings on the forum(s)...check the regional section of ScionLife for anything local
2) look up what companies that are local and e-mail/give them a call
3) go to car meets and just ask vendors...or just make friends with vendors because a lot of vendors know other vendors...the aftermarket industry is actually a pretty small knit community where are lot of them know each other
4) get noticed enough for someone to come up to u by chance
those are all things i have done...and once u get a sponsorship..use it to ur advantage! each time i ask a new company i always name drop my current sponsors. that way they know "hey this guy/car is legit enough that all of these companies already trust this guy so i guess we can too"
as far as costs...so far all of my sponsors are giving it to me for free. it all depends on big the company is/how expensive it is for them to make it
CUSCO gave me a free strut bar...but if they test coilovers and i want it...it will most likely be on a discount
Fujita offered me their intake with 2 filters under a sponsorship discount package (didn't take it cause i already bought my descendant)
Berggs has a sponsorship deal where if ur approved to be a sponsor (e-mail/send a photo of your car)..then u buy the product...take pictures...send the pictures back and once its all processed then they refund u ur purchase but u keep the product
so overall..the best thing is to just get their contact info and ask...worst thing that can happen is they say "no not interested"
