Lease and mods
What is the general opinion about modding on a leased vehicle? I plan on keeping the vehicle at the end of the lease, but the lease deal and payments just fit better for me at this time. I'm not talking about extensive modifications, but just small things to personalize it.

People personalize homes all the time. Changing small stuff that doesn't hurt value or cost a ton anddddd reversible I see no issue. I would try to cut payments first though, saves you money towards mods that you save from interest. Just don't go cutting into metal or adding exterior mods IMHO.
I was really just looking to swap the standard h/u for the premium alpine unit to add a backup camera and then put in a dead pedal. Most of the major mods would come after the lease was up.

I'm in the same boat as you. My 2013 is leased as well and I made sure to ask about customization, and my dealer told me that Scion encourages customization, so leased or not, we can customize if we want, and when the lease is up, we can either keep the parts and swap the stock back in, or we can return as is. You wouldn't get any extra value for the parts, but it's an option.
I've already done HIDs and interior LEDs, but I was considering TRD springs and TRD 19s next. You could always just ask your dealer if you're not sure
