I've seen people with the mesh/wire grille for their tC's and I fell in love. I'm trying to find one for myself. I heard there was a guy who sold them but doesn't sell them anymore? I could be wrong.

Saw some for sale on eBay but you have to cut them out yourself...and I'm not that car savvy.

Would be great if there's a tutorial on how to install one, if I ever get my hands on one. Not sure if there was a tutorial on here, I may be blind, apologies.

 

The After Market tC Mesh Grills you see are for tC1=2005-2010 or tC2=2011-2013. The Best to my Knowledge I don't think there are ones for our tC2.5=2014-2016.
Seeing how 2016 is the last year for the tC, I think it is unlikely any Manufacturer will come out with a After Market Grill for us.
So our Choices are limited:

1. Go to Home Depot, Lowes, hardware store or Online and buy steel, aluminum, plastic mesh, cut, paint and fabricate your own.
2. Go to a Custom Body Shop pay them $$ and they can do it for you.
3. D-I-Y, like this guy in his YouTube video. He got hold of some mesh grill material on eBay, trim it down to size and zip-tie it in place.

Personally, I'm not into the mesh grill look. I support modding, so whatever Rocks your Boat.
IF I had to go to the mesh grill look, I would go with Option #1 or #2. But, that's just me.

The guy who used to make them was 'choco da bear' or something and he is on Facebook. I was going to message him but figured ill just make my own eventually..

 

Yeah, that's what I heard. I did give him a message, but no reply yet.

I'm just too...scared I'll mess up. I'm a n00b when it comes to modding cars.

 

If you look on trdsparks the grill is like 75$, i figured if I really mess up then at least it's only 75$ lol..

I used to be on Tacomaworld and there were some pretty good walkthroughs, maybe I'll do a walk through of the grill I eventually do.

 

Pretty sure I'm blind, I can't find it.

Hey I've been creepin around forums on Scion tC's..dunno how old this post is or if anyone will respond..but it's my first go round cuz I just had to ask where you got the emblem from? I've just recently got my tC a couple months ago.
And have Googled everything from the throwout bearing noise all the way to LED bulbs. Obviously I'm in the grille section but just HAVE to know how you came across your emblems? Where can I find some that fit and could I make my own designs?
