My next project begins tonight. I will finish it up tomorrow and post pics. 2nd Reverse light will have to wait.

I can post up the link I used for assistance. There were a few other but got blocks from my work comp.
Google search "DIY False Floor" and look around

Only down side is you lose your spare.... I'll make a write up when i got time. It'll be rough cause I'm a N00b at box building myself.
Here are pics of the box to give you an idea of how I approached it.

The cloth? I used some black cotton from the fabric store down the street from my house. I'll probably re-wrap it in a carpet material when I find the right stuff. Crutchfield sells sub box carpet by the yard, but its a little to expensive for fabric IMO.
FYI, autozone, etc. also sells automotive carpet on rolls pretty cheap, I usually use that. Bonus is it's that flecked grey / black so matches most OEM trunk carpeting better. I think they also have solid black, usually without backing so it stretches easier for non-flat surfaces. Contact cement and a roller work wonders.

Just got the cover on with some of the guys from our service department and I am very happy with the look. Makes it look cleaner than a engine cover or the bare metal from factory. Pics up tonight after work.
Scratch- Googling DIY's is the best and there is no way I would do one with out a walk through to follow myself. the link is for a xB but the process is the exact same thing for the tC2.

Very nice. Question on baking the paint though. If you use high temp paint, do you still need to heat treat it? Just not sure about baking it in my oven with a 2 yr old in the house...
that looks really cool! now i'm definitely considering that if a nice (non-CF) valve cover doesnt come out.
didn't want to throw in some cookie dough with it? could of had something to snack on while installing it. haha
