Default Are most parts just plug and play?

I'm picking up my new 2012 tc in the next couple of days and there are a couple of items I wanted them to install. (Specifically fog lights and the pioneer premium radio.) However, if these items are just plug and play, I don't really see the point in paying them to install them? Are they just harnesses that need clipped in? Or are they actually going to run new wire that wasn't there before?

Thanks in advance guys.

They are both 100% plug and play. You can not get that specific head unit from anywhere that I know of, except the dealer.

The fog lights on the other hand, can be purchased for $150, with everything you need (plugs, wires, and switch) from fastscions.com. Dont waste near $400 on the dealer fog lights! Its about a 20 min install, and there are step by step instuctions online. These are not OEM, but work and look great.

Really appreciate the heads up on the fog lights... How about the xm reciever for the head unit?

That will be plug and play too, and you can order it off TRDsparks.com for less than dealer prices, BUT, that is a pretty lengthy job, as far as hidding all the wiring you are going to have to run for the satalite antenna. It wont be too dificult, but its one of those things that, if you want it done well, you may want to leave it to a profetional.

My advice would be: buy the reciever/antenna off TRDsparks, then take it to a audio place to be installed. Their install prices will be WAY cheaper than the dealer, and more than likely, they will do a better job!

Does anyone know where the installation guide for the fog lights are? I can't seem to find them?

Nevermind, I found the guide. Here it is in case anyone else ever needs it... http://www.trdsparks.com/install/PT413-21110inst.pdf

Can't believe how easy this car appears to be to work on.
