Default New to the forums

My car just chugged its last mile last Friday morning on my way to work and I just started searching for a Manual White TC2 Today by calling 15 dealers all within a 20 mile radius and only 4 called me back today saying none are in my area but they will call me if anything pops up.

I know that white isn't the most popular color they sell and I know for every hundred+ automatic Scion makes, only 1 Manual is produced.

I hope I find one soon. Spent a lot of hours so far just reading different topics about HID, C/f hoods, etc etc haha.

Anyway, I just wanted to say hello. Hello!

Welcome! You may have some trouble just because it's the end of the '11 model year and the '12s haven't arrived yet, but good luck! And good choice going with the manual.

Welcome Toshio,

Be patient and you'll find one. My Nautical Blue Metallic M/T was 200 miles away, and the dealership was nice enough to trade one with the Toyota Dealership out here.

Thanks guys, Some dealers try to sell me a crimson red on, or a white a/t one but i wasn't willing to bend on either decision.

Would there be a big price difference if I just waited for a 2012 model?

Stay firm and patient on what you want. They won't hesitate to find you one if they know you're serious and make no concessions.

Price won't change really, unless you get a Release Series or if they put some of the Release Series options as stock items in the 2012.

I think the price difference should be around 500 for the 2012, but you get bluetooth and the newer stereo. Good luck finding a manual 2011. I just got mine 1.5 weeks ago. I was told mine (magnetic gray) and a silver one were the last of the 2011's that were not already allocated.

Hmm. Yea, I won't be budging on the color and definitely not the M/T haha.

Price difference isn't bad at all, I just searched for the new stereo but is that worth the wait? It doesn't seem so personally, unless someone can persuade me otherwise. =X

once 2012 is out you will be able to negotiate the price of the 2011. otherwise it's pure price for 2011 right now

On second thought... I probably can't wait that long for a car.

I couldn't find it on the scion site, but can you purchase a push to start option for the TC2?

You notice he also has a rear wiper and back-up sensors? Not exactly standard US equipment. Canadian versions have the rear wiper (and DRLs), while I know errol got backup sensors installed on his tC. Push start is standard on the Puerto Rican tCs for 2011. Don't know what makes Puerto Rico special, but it might be an option for the '12 tCs. I know the RS will have it. And the push button start, to me, is a better reason to wait for a '12 tC than the stereo. Who knows, maybe the '12 tCs will have 2 reverse lights!

Idk lol you're not a man until you wanted/had to put second reverse light in it .

2011 tC Owner: Nice tC! What year is it?

2012 tC Owner: This is 2012

2011 tC Owner: Oh nice, does it have both reverse lights?

2012 tC Owner: Yeah Obvi, what kinda question is this???

2011 tC Owner: Pulls out the tow hook from the trunk and smashes 2012's passanger side reverse light and says while walking away "It was nice meeting you... Boy"

The only push start on the tC2 is on the Release Series 7 in yellow, you may be able to get an order in for that.

I wish you luck with your search, the dealership I started with...for some reason (I look at all you younglings on here) ordered EVERY 2011 tC with the rear spoiler that I hated. So for my SuperWhite M/T they had to swap it out with a dealership, thankfully only 60 miles away and also in MD so the front bumper was not drilled.

You will be able to find one, but don't cave on your color choice. There are a LOT of SuperWhite tCs on here, many Black, and the variations of Grey. Less of the Blue and probably fewer of the Red. Still don't know why they even made that red color. I think they had GALLONS of the paint left from the xB1.

SuperWhite all the way! haha

i don't see many tC2s on the road yet...but i have seen a few....i think never the red though...but almost ALWAYS the cement!

my gf tried to talk me into getting cement just because its the "new color" I told her...that is why a lot of people will get it...because its the "new color" and they will think they are different. sure enough i'd say about 80% of the tC2 i see are cement (then it follows black->white->silver->blue)

Thats funny. The only tC2 that I've seen (other than at the dealerships) is was red. It is a guy who works a local hardware store who owns it. I went there to fill up my propane tank last week and I see this guy eyeing my car. I ask him if he likes my car and he says he has the same car, just in red. He points to it across the parking lot. His was a manual as well. I have to admit, I kind of like that color in person.

Yea. So far, I have called 20 dealerships now and 1 had 1M/T in stock but it was cement. -_-

No offense to anyone that likes that color but personally, that color does nothing for me, it has no "pop" and just blends in.

Anyway, I live in So-cal OC area and I have not seen 1 2011 TC on the road at all lol.

I seen maybe two tC2 bone stock. mostly tC1

anyways you're not really far away from the new 2012 coming out, a few weeks maybe, I think I bought my 07 in about this month in 06... would be nice to get the 12 to stay away from all the troubles for the first year model always has.
