Default OE lip spoiler

Recently ordered a 2012 OE lip spoiler but it didn't come with a templet, anyone have any ideas on how I would install it? Has 4 screw holes, don't really wanna use 3m tape.

thread the screws/bolts into the spoiler, and dab a bright colored paint marker on the screw/bolt heads. Place the spoiler in its position and press down. The paint should transfer from the screw heads to the hatch. Drill where the paint transfer marks are. boom. done.

Why would you want to drill holes? The 3M tape will hold plenty and make it a _____ if you ever want to get it off.

You need to buy the template from a dealer or online. It will be next to impossible to install without.

I am a Toyota/Scion tech and have installed many tC spoilers. You will need it.

I installed my spoiler without a template and without any issues. Take out the spoiler studs and line up the spoiler without taking the backing off of the tape so you know where it sits and how much of a gap you have on the sides. This would be next to impossible without a friend helping to actually place/install it. I guess if you don't have friends or you want to drill holes in a perfectly good hatch, you need the template.
