Default Out of the mouth of babes

I came home from work last night in the new tC, backing into the driveway. My daughter watched me drive up from the porch.

"Dad, did you know that the backup light on your new car does not work, you only have one."

"Yeah, they did that on purpose."

"Why would they do that?"

"They think it's cool."

"Why would that be cool?"

"Well, they say the Europeans are doing it in the sports cars."

"That's stupid, everyone will just think it's broke."

Hmmmmmm......

its as stupid as driving your car 1/4inch off the ground...yet people still do that too. not to mention the other people who think its kewl to murder your fenders to fit wheels way to big for your car..but beauty is in the eye of the beholder remember.

If its only going to have 1 reverse light, they should really think about putting in a rear foglight to make it looks less stupid

Lol we have had one person bring there brand new '11 back saying a reverse light was out. We had to pull the trunk door off to show them there was not supposed to be a bulb there. Whats worse is there is even a hole for it, and just has a sticker covering it so moisture will not get in. At least on my xb its on the bumper and not a empty light on the other side.

Are you serious? Wow Fail on Toyota! Have the hole and not use it and cover it with a sticker

i was quoting you and others changing the gen1 tc to a single back up light, which is lame. i said nothing about cars that are built that way from the manufacturer.

wouldnt pass like that in VA. if it has a lense and a place for a bulb and is on the vehicle it has to function. trust me ive written plenty of tickets bc of one reverse light working and other being gone (mainly to a__holes) so i dont see how toyota can do that for long.
