Default Password Jdm engine cover

Hey guys, I'm gonna be picking one of these up next pay day and I was wondering if there will be any clearance issues? I have a Tanabe Sus-Tec strut bar installed and it looks like it'll be a tight fit. Has anybody had any problems with engine cover/strut bar fitments? any help would be much appreciated.

People have the Carbon Fiber with a strut bar, as well as the Camry cover with a strut bar installed. I'm not sure if the Tanabe bar would be any different

To be honest the strut bar has had a less than ideal fitment, it rubs on my intake and bumps up against this plastic latch piece. I just hope it doesn't ruin the cover. Thanks again for the quick response, by the way been following your build for awhile and it looks amazing! Haha

i know the TRD strut bar has paper thin clearance with the Descendant / PasswordJDM (they are basically the same) engine cover

i have the CUSCO strut bar and the Descendant engine cover and it rubs

but particularly with the Tanabe, i don't know. sorry

The trd strut rubs on the camry cover. I don't mind it though.

Damn... Haha How bad is the rubbing? I'd hate to drop 200+ on an engine cover an have it ruined within a few months. I wonder if an engine mount would help at all.

uhm its not bad i guess...i mean. u dont see any scratches because the strut bar covers it and i care more about the strut bar than the cover (i got the cover at a good deal). there's no damage to the strut bar.

yes motor mounts will help, but wont "fix it"

some people say u can add washer to the strut bar to make it higher up...but what affect (if any) it does to performance is beyond me

As long as it's not gouging into it, that was my main concern. I actually had the same idea while at work today haha i'll probably go that route just to get rid of the annoying thud I hear every time I start the car. As for performance I'll worry about that later haha just need to get my engine bay looking gooood.
