Lots of cool new stuff!
5000k HIDs installed. I need whiter fogs now...

Installing my new Alpine 500W amp under the passenger seat. I could have completely tucked the wires, but I like to avoid sharp bends in thick gauge wire, and leave a bit of slack for future amp upgrades. Snugged the corners down with zip ties to the carpet, fits snugly and the wire terminals are all oriented perfectly. Grounded to the seatbelt bolt.

Everything is 100% hidden under the seat except for the looped wires, so that was fixed with some wire loom. Actually looks kinda cool

Finally finished up my shifter assembly with my RedlineGoods shift boot, shortened 1/2", in perforated black, and a matching MOMO Race Reverse shift ****. The combo match perfectly and, with the TRD Quickshifter and TS bushings, are amazing to use. Everyone that has driven my car has loved how it looks:

Close-up on the ****. I can't recommend it enough. It fits our shifter like a glove, and the set screw installation is extremely solid, more solid than any screw on **** I've used. The bottom sleeve is the exact same size as the reverse lockout lever, and I actually used the lever to align the **** while installing. This **** was seriously made for our cars.

Pics of my subwoofer installation coming soon...

I've installed my subwoofer, and now the audio bug has bitten!
Now I want to upgrade the four midranges and two tweeters, and install a highpass crossover on my 6x9s in an effort to reduce the amount of low-frequency bass they're playing (not to mention vibration in the door panels!).
So I may be designing my own crossover network for each one...just use some maths and save some money! If it works well, I'll post a DIY. Does anybody know the impedence of the stock 6x9s?
EDIT: It's 2 ohm, according to the FSM.

I've been doing some research on an interior footwell light project, and I have a cool idea. I found this picture in the factory electronic wiring diagram:

The dome light operation (fade in/out on lock/unlock, door, interior light) is controlled by the ECU with a varying ground. The ecu gradually grounds the door connection, making that cool fade effect. So I need to tap the LED strip positive wires into +12V constant, and tap into the blue wires at the top of the schematic for ground. These wires should be above the dome light. We'll find out tomorrow and I may post a DIY if it works!

i have the same basketball!...never thought of putting it there haha cool
oh and pretty smart idea on the flash light, i just hide mine where the spare is. there is actually a lot of room there

Yeah, the storage bins under the trunk mat are awesome. I keep stuff like jumper cables under there.
Definitely put it there when taking it somewhere. It wedges in there and doesn't move! It's caused a couple of marks on the ball since I keep it there permanently, but oh well
