Default scion tc hid kit

i dont know if this is the right place to post this but.... I just bought a hid kit from xenon depot for my 2011 scion tc. I previously had a relay harness from my last car but this kit came with one. The difference is the one that came with the kit is independent for the drivef and passenger side. Each side has its own relay and fuse. So which one would be better off using the one with the dual relays/fuses or the traditional relay harness which connects to both the driver and passenger side?

You'd be better off saving yourself the trouble and not using a harness altogether. It's not necessary for our cars. I (and many others here) have been running HIDs on this car for the better part of a year without a harness. No issues.

If you already have a harness, it makes no sense not to use it. At least you'll always be drawing the start up voltage through the relay directly from the battery. Even people with high end HID kits (for retros) use relay harnesses.

I have a harness but I doubt it's necessary for most 35 watt setups. Any more than that, and I'd recommend a relay harness. Remember -- the ballast sucks a lot of juice when it fires up, definitely more than the 55 watts the stock wiring was designed to provide. But after a second or two, it settles down and is much closer to your HID kit's spec value, whatever that might be for your kit -- 35, 50, or 55 watts.

Use the one that came with the kit, thus far most folks have been getting cheaper HID kits without any relay, but if you have it, totally wire that sucker up. Plus since you have a new one that came with the new kit, just use that setup.
