It looks like he was able to get it with a smart key system with a push button start, which doesn't seem like it's available as an option here. It does has a rear wiper so I wonder if Canada can get a similar option.

Anyways, just thought it was pretty interesting.

 

Originally I thought none of the features came from factory. Everything from the automatic engine start, rear sensors, and wiper seemed like they were aftermarket. The dealership where he got his probably offered those options. I figured the key was probably an aftermarket/Toyota remote where they popped out the original emblem and placed the scion emblem in place but then I saw his other video. He did a video of the interior and I now think his engine push button is legit from factory. I don't see an inlet for a key on the steering column so this lead me to believe perhaps that mod was from factory. Im not too sure about the rear sensors. He doesn't have a screen so I dont know why he has them. And the rear wiper looks poorly done. Any who, good find.

 

Yeah, the rear sensors looks like they are an aftermarket add-on from the dealership. But the smart key does look like it's an factory integration, especially with the touch door handle.

 

those options are interesting...side note though, they get a lesser radio than we do and they have those weird designs on the seat fabric!?

 

1) rear window wiper is done by toyota in canada tc models and I am sure other foreign countries too
2) push button start and the whole key setup is BA imo
3) rear sensors -> backup cam could go would be awesome to.

If he had the premium adio system, I'm sure he could hook up the back up camera to it to view on the 4.3 in screen. You would think that it would come that way anyways. I've seen models before that just beeped when you neared an object though.

 

over in guam almost all the new cars have back up sensors. you have to specifically request to not have them put on. also they are very limited on what they can pick as far as options. so its whats on the lot or your pretty much not getting it. im actually suprised they already have some. normally it takes months to get a new model over there.

 

they are back up sensors not camera, they beep when you get close to something.

 

I finally saw one of these in real life!! They have the smart key, pbs and rear wiper standard here(Puerto Rico)thats a pretty good feature,IMO its real nice!! I'm gonna test drive it today!!

 

Wow i didnt know we had the keyless entry feature on island i guess i shouldve ask more questions lol the only thing i didnt notice was the rear wiper i hate that rear wiper! frealz but anyways its a nice car im getting one soon hopefully a color that no one else has on island
