Strut bars. Whats everyone using?
looking at the Scion 2011-2012 Tc Tanabe Strut Tower Bar. The TRD is about 100 bucks more. Anyone using this? I've never actually used one of these in my cars. Do they really do anything?

haha F it i'll threadjack. You thing that OEM audio update or whatever the hell it was you did was worth the dough?
firstly, how much did it cost and where did you purchase it from?
I like it because of the sub enclosure and how it won't clutter up your hatch....
secondly. how is the sound quality? is it better, way better, or amazingly boner inducing better?

it cost retail price ($1399) and i purchased directly from them. u can either order from them, from scion optomize, or from your scion dealership
...also they have been working on (i think its out) a lower tier version, with less components, which is still good and cheaper ($999)
sound quality...for lack of better words..."amazingly boner inducing better"
just let me know what other Qs u have

Ok cool, the one qualm I had when i bought the '12 and ditched my 08 was i always thought the '12 stereo setup sounded like ___. Not enough bass, mids way to uneven, and FAR too much treble.
So let me get this right... this "kit" will replace all of the pioneer speakers and add a sub correct?
I'm off to the dealership tomorrow so I will ask them about the cheap version.

TRD in my .02 is purely looks due to its mounting points. CUSCO is decent BUT you should contact KEN @ GT SPEC which is located in NY. you MIGHT be able to do a test fit like i did with my toyota.

they wanted to video tape an actual customer install, which is what happened (i also had to repeat some things because they didn't get it on tape...)
anyways, i didn't have to stop and read the instructions each time because they just told me what to do. and to make things go faster (since video taping/interview questions slowed it down)...i did one side while one of them did the other.
it would be the same if u have a buddy help u install it. except i was mic'd and they had a camera on me the whole time LOL
