Thinking bout a TC2
Alright so I owned a 2010 TC 5 speed traded it in December for a 2013 Kia rio which is a great car but no aftermarket etc got me missing the tuner car scene lol I am looking at a 2011 Tc 6 spd compared to my 2010 tc 5 speed with the Trd s/c how does it compare performance wise etc ?? I like the looks and the 6 speed plus a little more n/a power in the newer model
Well, I don't know what you were getting with the s/c. The 2011 is somewhere around 180 hp at the crank stock. I still love mine. All I have power wise is a k and n short ram, TRD exhaust and a lightweight pulley, but I feel they have made a difference. The car is fun to drive and you get great gas mileage with it so why not right?
im 6'1" 200lbs and can sit in the backseat of my car with the seat all the way back and still have leg room. i have also put a friends car seat in my car to take her and her 2 year old daughter places and she doesn't have a problem putting it in and her daughter has plenty of room back there.
honestly i think the tc2 has the largest back seat of any 2 door coupe, and im not just saying that. my buddys gencoupe 2.0t, cant fit a person in the back seat, my friends eclipse is the same way, even has more room than a lot of 4 door cars, has more space in the rear than my old grand am did, has more back seat room than a new jetta as well, i fit my buddy who is 6'4" in the back seat of mine and he even said it was comfortable, so fitting kids in the rear wont be a challange at all
i honestly am not a fan of the tc1s, at all.. dont exactly know why but i just cant stand the looks

Well, they just came out with a Unichip that should really respond well to all bolt ons.
And there is aftermarket support for those, just not as many companies as the 1st gen had because once the FR-S came out, we kind of were forgotten about for a while, but maybe its coming back with companies like Dezod, Super-Tek, uni-chip, etc still supporting the platform.
There are at least 5 different exhausts (mix of cat-back or axle), and intakes (short-ram and CAI). There is one mid-pipe from Megan, there are tons of lowering springs, and several coil-over kits and now some different braces.
I think you will be happy with what is available for the price. Its not a race car, but it is a real fun car to drive and it can be very peppy, especially with the 2.5L engine.
I say buy one, especially if its an 2011, you should get it for much less than 20k.
And +1 on the huge backseat. I like it better than the front seat. My dad is like 6'4 and 250 pounds and I have taken both him and my 6'4 co-worker around before at the same time, and they were both comfortable.
I used to want a WRX when I decided to have children, because I wasn't sure if they would fit, but I think I'll just drive the wheels off this thing

Will see the tc1 basic intake/header/exhaust was looks and noise it's when I strapped on the s/c there was a huge difference for obvious reasons but n/a seemed like a waste of money now on my 08 Civic si the bolt ons were huge
I feel the low rpm range is part of the issue. We are suppose to have this torque engine that has a rev limit of below 7k. I'm really disappointed in Toyota they could have redeemed themselves and made the tC something nostalgic to that of our beloved Supra and it feels as if they didn't try because they don't care.
Went ahead and got a used 2011 Tc 6 speed manual silver 21K miles on it all stock has a lot of scion add ons bumper plaque scion lower decals b-pillar carbon fiber decals mud guards etc.
