Transmisson swap
who is manuel? you mean a manual transmission? take your car back to your dealer and trade it in. there is no pointin swaping transmissions unless you really don't need or want your powertrain warranty.
Research and save up for the car you want, and chill and enjoy your DD automatic.

{my preference, of which some ppl I know think is odd, I dislike driving any and all automatics I've ever owned or driven}

Trade in, or buy a manual beater to give it a go. I was feeling the same way until I had to drive after working 12 hours at a customer's site. was there at left the house at 5a.m. home at 11p.m. Both have their uses.
Drive the auto until you are the only one who will drive the car, then trade it in on a car you want with the transmission you want. Swapping from auto to manual is a headache you don't want to deal with.
i was high when i read this.... 'who is manuel?" for some reason its ____in highlarious.
Let me enlighten you, as I am one of the few that have done this on a late model, FWD car. It is no easy task. My friend bought an auto Hyundai, because his dad wouldn't let him buy a stick.
It took him a year to source all the parts...I have no idea how much he spent. He sourced some parts used (manual tranny). Then we both took a week off of work to do install (I had the wrench turning experience). He payed me for that week $500. Installed in his garage with hand tools. Numerous (read: exhaustive) hours later with dremel under dash and firewall behind radio, clutch pedal/master cyl mounted, brake pedal modified,shift cables installed/mounted, shifter installed, clutch mounted, tranny mounted, clutch bled..........
Bla bla bla..... List goes on and on......
Turn key on final moment: drivers side window rolls all the way down. Yup, you read that right. Turn key, window rolls down. Took me an additional day to track that one down...
All in all, it was factory swap, but it wasn't easy. He was happy with the finished ride, and drove it for another three or four years...
My advice to you? Don't. Do. It. Just drive the car, and enjoy it the way it is. If you want a manual; go BUY one. It's way easier/cheaper.

just curious WTF would you buy a new car and then decide to switch it.....take it back to the dealer and trade in and pay whatever extra (due to depreciation) and get a manual. because if not you'll end up spending 3-4k to do a swap like the 1st gens (if not more) when you could trade in and possible pay no extra
Plus I have to ask, wouldn't that completely mess with ever re-selling the car? ie Carfax/VIN showing it as an auto, buyers/dealership looking at you like... yeah ok what did you do to this thing? We'll give you $50 to leave now.
I understand because I had the auto/manual dilemma and for the same reasons too. The day I ordered the car, got auto and black in color, the next day I called in and (thank god) it wasn't too late and changed it to manual and white instead. It wasn't the smartest decision but it definitely made the car more enjoyable to drive. Plus, we can all agree there's a "cool" factor about getting a manual transmission. The only thing I regret not getting is leather seats but overall still a great car to drive!
Sorry dude but it is probably better for you to ride it out or trade it in :/
