oh, so your foot lights are connected to underglow?

ProjectTC2 04-05-2012 02:59 PM

Yep, I connected them in the same circuit to turn on when a door opens

fun173 04-08-2012 04:31 AM

Did you leave the cloth on the door inserts and cover that with the leather?

ProjectTC2 04-08-2012 01:13 PM

Yep, I left the cloth behind the leather to add a little more padding. The stock padding is connected to the cloth and would get destroyed if you removed the cloth, so you'd have to add new padding behind the leather.

I just took the insert out, cleaned it, used spray adhesive, and then stuck the leather on there!

So I'm completley done(except for my pulley and horn which are both on the way, but they are not visable) with my engine / engine compartment until I boost it, which will be in the distant future. So I took a good picture that will be displayed with my car at shows in the future! I like this one, but I can't decide if I want to take another or just stick with this one

Actually I can hardly tell... but whatever! :) haha

biglilsteve 04-09-2012 12:54 AM

Gorgeous man seriously well done. Might be my favorite engine bay :)

ProjectTC2 04-09-2012 01:07 AM

I appreciate it man! It'll be even more pretty if I ever get that turbo in there :D

biglilsteve 04-09-2012 01:43 AM

Heck yeah man.

Speaking of turbo, you consider getting your transmission upgraded too? A valve body upgrade is probably going to be crucial in getting the best performance out of our auto, especially with a turbo.

ProjectTC2 04-09-2012 01:51 AM

Yea if I ever take the dive and get a turbo, an upgraded transmission would definetley come right along with it. Thats WAY in the future though

johndeo11 04-09-2012 06:11 AM

what paint did you use? looking good AF!!!

ProjectTC2 04-09-2012 01:53 PM

Used VHT gold engine enamel on Everything painted gold on my engine compartment. Painted them way back in the day and they're still holdin up strong! Just make sure you heat cycle the paint, don't just turn your engine on and let it run forever the first time.

johndeo11 04-09-2012 09:23 PM

okay. thanks for the tip...

Took a 90 degree turn at 50 mph on the way home from class today. Tires squealed and spun and I almost pooped myself. And it was awesome

ProjectTC2 04-10-2012 05:26 AM

No my tires just squealed and spun and stuff haha nothing bad happened

GAPS11TC 04-10-2012 05:40 AM

So I've come to the sad conclusion that I'm done ordering things for my car for a while :( Other than eyelids, These 6 things that are on the way are going to be the last things until my Turbo in the future. I am starting at UCF next semester, and I need to make sure I am financially comfortable there before I start purchasing things again </3

:clap::clap::clap:
Sounds like a good plan. Modding can make you broke. Credit cards are the devil too. Trust me, when i was going away to college, i splurged to buy all the latest mods for my IS300. $12,000 later was the lesson learned or not.

Smart move. Then when you are out and financially comfortable you can mod the crap out of it even more!
