What's your fuel mileage.
I was just going to look for a thread like this, so it's NECRO TIEM:

Anywho... just got back from a long drive to NY, with one leg hitting light traffic, otherwise crankin away at a speed limit +8, 87oct, 6MT, light A/C use, AND spending 20-30 mins playing follow the leader with an S4 who gave me a nice thumbs up for totally keeping pace with him... 30.8mpg on paper.
My usual commute to work is usually traffic to death for 40min with 10-20min of highway speeds, been averaging 26.4mpg.

2011 Scion tC w/ an automatic transmission here.
A few days ago, I (and a friend with me in the car) drove from Northern Washington State to Northern Oregon and back on one tank of gas, averaging 35 mpg. By the time we arrived back home, it was running almost on fumes, as the low fuel level indicator light had been on for some time. Most of the trip was at speeds of 55-70. It seemed that the average trip mpg was increasing quickly on a stretch of road that had us doing about 50-55 mph, so can we surmise that at least with the automatic in sixth gear (0.6 gear ratio) that 50mph is probably the most fuel-efficient speed?
I performed another experiment yesterday, doing 50 mph +/- on a road around here that has a speed limit of 50, and after perhaps six or seven miles, the average trip mileage showed I was getting around ~ 42mph.
It doesn't seem like many of you get such good mileage, what gives? Is the information being presented to me by the car unreliable or is sixth gear in the automatic just that much of a beast? One thing to keep in mind is the 6th gear ratio in the automatic is 0.6, in the manual it's 0.73. I can see that accounting for some of the difference but I just wouldn't expect it to be the sole cause. Mysterious.
FYI.

I'm using 87 regular unleaded and rarely use the AC... go figure!
I've read that the SRI (from anyone) can help with MPG since it sucks in warmer engine air it supposedly doesn't make the car dump more fuel... this is of course based on internet postings, so ... yeah.
