How bright are they to oncoming traffic? And do they give the same illumination of the road as HIDs?

they are bright enough to look awesome and not blinding since they are low

they are for decoration purposes and NOT for functionality

Figured as much. I like'em, but like the extra visibility the HID's give me more.

I've got Factory Style fogs that I bought online, and I love them. But if I didn't wanna spend the money on a factory style fog light kit, then these would be a very good, low cost option. For appearance only though

you're asking me?

you're asking Justin? aka KidJustin on many forums? the Super White tC2 extraordinaire? the cool guy with the nice Audi Style LEDs?

sorry, but if ur asking me...i wouldn't buy it. wouldn't match my tC2

HOWEVER....

its a nice mod and i'm sure a lot of people would buy it. i say u just make it by the order...i'm sure u have a BUNCH of LEDs laying around any time of the day...same goes for the wires

makes some money off ur ideas!

There's just no way it could be bright enough. In our vehicles, I think of fog lights as maneuvering/cornering lights, in that they help you see around a corner as you're turning, since they provide more lateral light dispersion. That's very useful to have, especially in when you're driving in an area you haven't been to before. Function over form, at least for this. LEDs are years off from being practical for this purpose.

Fog lights don't shine far enough down the road to "help you see around a corner as you're driving".

There's no denying they have better lateral dispersion, but that dispersion doesn't extend far enough away from your car to prove useful. It's pretty much just to fill the gap between the very bottom of the headlights' cutoff and the front of the car.

Fog lights now adays (and on these cars) are more aesthetic than functional...so use those two holes at the bottom of the bumper in a way that pleases you most.

I was looking to do this mod next year when it's warmer. If a kit was available I would totally buy it.

I personally have factory style fog lights in my car, and even with HID's in them, they don't shine far enough forward to be useful. I have to lean way forward to even be able to see the furthermost light on the ground coming from my fogs. They do help in corners, but very very slightly

They do add light in the corner a bit and since they are cool white(6000k) it actually looks pretty cool. It was the first thing that my friends noticed.

ill try to make a video

price: $50 + shipping

shipping be couple bucks since i can ship it in an envelope

Yuri, just keep in mind that you would need to be at least a Trader status on Scionlife in order to sell these. PM Tomas about becoming a Trader before attempting to sell them... or you know ban and what not...
