Thanks for the thread Zero and others chiming in. I just picked up my 2014 MGM two weekends ago and thanks to everyone here, I'm quickly learning what will work & what options I have. I went to the dealership wanting an FR-S after a few weeks of online reading & reviews. Ended up my fat ___ wouldn't sit comfortably in an FR-S and ended up falling in love with the new tC that same day at the dealership. My first manual and it's been a blast!

Here's a few pics in case even Zero has forgotten what a completely fresh '14 looks like. ;o)

FYI, depending on who you ask, there seems to still be some "confusion" for California tinting laws. http://www.windowtint.com/california.html states 70% VLT, http://www.tinting-laws.com/california/ says 88% and CHP http://www.chp.ca.gov/html/answers.html says none allowed for the front side windows.

My first mod after reading this entire thread? Tinting. ;o) Then the K&N cold air intake , then probably the Eibach Sportline Springs. Has anyone here installed the Plus Kit with the Anti-roll kit as well? Too stiff for comfort?

I'm surprised how tall the stock ride sits. Feels like it can come down a good 2 inches with room to spare. Maybe its to clear the snow pack for folks up in Alaska!

BTW, I travel weekly between the SF Bay and Sacramento and have only caught a glimpse of 1 other 2014 tC. I do notice earlier models, but happy to find you guys chatting about the '14. Keep it up!

The lighter the tint the safer is how I see it haha. But tint is something I want just isn't high on my list of mods haha.
I will probably be buying an injen intake for 100 bucks from a friend since he doesn't want it anymore.
Some people have the sway bars but I haven't heard back from them on what they thought but I want them myself haha. It does sit high but the sport line gives it a nice drop that still clears. Could easily have a lip and not worry about it.
I also went in for a frs but after driving one it wasn't for me (skinny ___ but tall enough to have issues) plus I usually move things in my car and have friends and the frs just isn't a practical dd for me haha.

Pics aren't working for me on my phone so I'll have to wait till I use my computer.

CA Tinting: You can do any leve of tint on any window, EXCEPT the front (windsheild/front doors). With that said, 70%, 88%, or no tint....all basically look the same. For tint to actually be noticeable/work the highest would probably be like 50%. 35% is when it starts to get dark, but you can still see it. probably the most common. 20% (is what I have if you want to check my thread) is dark enough that people have a hard time seeing in, but its very easy for you to see out, even at night. 15% is super dark and hard to see out or in. 5% is also referred to as "limo tint"...good luck driving at night

if all you care about is UV protection, then there are clear films that block UV

the plus kit basically means it includes sway bars. A LOT of people have intalled their sway bars and LOVE it. Go check the suspnesion section for reviews and issues to help you decide what you need to do

I can fit my whole hand in the stock wheel gap...

I have been thinking of going with either 30-20 for tint once I do it.
I don't remember stock height haha, I installed my springs fairly soon to owning the car.

I'm will to get from a local person haha. But I'm still using the oem rims so I'd need mag style. Does he sell those and wheel spacers?
