Default Brake Pads for tC2

I am still new to modding my car, but since I've autocrossed my car twice and tracked it once on Road Atlanta so far and plan to do more in the future, I am considering upgrading the brake pads for my car.

I was wondering if anyone has replaced their brake pads yet on their tC2 or which pads would be recommended. It's a daily driver so I would prefer pads that enhance brake performance and resist fading without increased noise or brake dust from the stock pads.

Also, if I upgrade the brake pads, would it be recommended to upgrade the brake-lines as well?

Any input is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

No need for confessions...

You can't have both...the great pads make so much dust that its a pain to keep clean. For dust, you need to get ceramic pads.

Stainless steel braided brake lines only reduce the amount of pedal mushiness...(drastically!) - They do nothing for braking power... only feel. If you need better braking feel, do it. But you have to do all 4 wheels. For track, I like Axxis ULT...but they are very, very dusty...impossible to keep a DD wheels clean (very ugly). And you will be replacing discs every time you replace the brake pads because they do ware the discs hellaciously! Ah, the cost of speed/performance. Hawk makes “Performance Ceramic street pads”, I have not tried them, but they do sound good to me for a good compromise.

so are brake pads universal or are there sizes for them? you know any pads that are better than OEM but not solely for track use? I guess brake dust isn't that bad but I don't want the pads to make noise for dd purposes.
