Help with Build
Hey guys I've been reading as much as I can find about doing a suspension upgrade properly. I want a lower car, that handles better, on a budget. I know a lower car does not always mean a better handling car but I want both. I am on a budget here, meaning that what ever the right way to do this build is I am willing to do but I rather go with the cheaper part if the only difference is price. Anyway here is what I think I will need. I need help from the guys that have been doing this longer. If Im missing a part or if theres another part that better suits my needs please share. Thanks in advance!
Springs- I am still in the air with the spring's. It's between the TEIN H line or the TRD. Which do you recommend for the goals listed above. Why?
Sway bars- The TRD front and rear seem to be my only option. Are these worth it?
Strut Bar- The Cusco strut tower bar. From what I have read it seems to be solid and cheaper than TRD
Control arms- Who even makes these yets?
Struts- Are these needed?

tein s techs! hah get lower and there cheaper
sway bars. my opinion. im getting the strut bar. so i dont feel the need to buy these for my car since im not tracking it.. may come later on so i can get more options maybe cheaper.

if your buying struts minus well just buy coilovers other than that. not needed.

I see 1.3 drop in the front and 1.7 drop in the rear with those Sportline springs. Would you still be able to squeeze that with those huge F-Sport wheels and 255's?

I'm with 2tCornot2tC. In fact, I'm even considering swapping out my H-Techs for the Sportlines, but haven't decided for sure yet. I like the Sportlines' spring rate, but actually would rather not have quite as much of a drop. Decisions, decisions...
I think you should consider the TEIN-s techs. i have them and love the handing. i am personally going for an auto-x setup wen stiff shocks and a REAL variey of suspension and handling parts come out haha. but seriously ino it sounds like looks arent ur priority but tein-s tech are by far the cleanest/most sporty looking out(but not slammed)
There is no chance of rubbing unless ur riding on 20x10 rims haha srsly. I can turn in all the way and go over a speed bump and not rub. The extra 20 bucs youd spend on tein s tech over eibachs is the quality level. u wont ever hear from someone that they dont like the quality of there teins. But i have personally heard and read mixed about eibach products. There are many 19in rim drivers out there that are using s techs and not 1 person has said they rub. All in all dont short change your tc by saving 20 bucs lol. And s techs feel perfect. Every person who is tryin to capture and sports car out of a compact coupe wants to feel the road. Great handling while still being great smoothness for a dail driver. Now if u really wanna feel the car im using a torque solutions front motor mount which i love but dont like sitting at a stop light with my ac on haha. Nightmare-ish!
For me, its not about the 20 bucks at all. I didn't want too aggressive of a drop because I would like to get flush later down the road. Also, I like the progressive spring rates of the eibach's.
Ok i gotchya, i dont think there r any springs out ther yet that drop it too low. Thats wher coilovers come in.
It seems like uve made ur decision with eibachs, id like to see a pic of ur drop and some feed back of how they ride. I swear once u lower and get ur suspension stiff ull notice ur tires r the weak point and ull wanna buy street slicks!

Springs:
i'v head teins tend to sag a little after a while....just heard, not sure about it since i know tein is a good brand
eibach though...top notch. i havent used them myself, but i have yet to hear anything bad about them and their springs

Struts:
ur probably not going to like this....but you WILL need them. maybe not now...but u will.
OEM springs are designed for OEM struts....change the springs and the struts will (eventually) blow, thus needing them to be replaced. since the car is new...the struts are new and will handle aftermarket springs....but in so many years, the struts will most likely need to be replaced.
so pay less for springs now...and pay the rest for struts later
or just pay more for coilovers now and your set (u will also still have ur stock setup of springs/strut in case u ever need to replace the coilovers vs. having oem springs with broken struts)
...with that said, i would assume TRD lowering springs would be safe on the oem struts
all else...there isn't one out yet
