Default Just installed coilovers, got a question.

I just got my ksport coilovers installed and when turn into somewhere or go over a speed bump fast enough the back coils seem to have some kinda spacing where it can move up and down, do i have to put something there to fill that spacing or do I have to adjust the dampening so its stiffer?

I can't understand what you mean by "spacing". But it just seems like you need to tighten down a few things. As soon as you dropped the car on the floor did you torque down the nuts on top of the strut? How low are you and are you providing enough stroke length in the strut that matches your height? Any noticeable noise like clunking or squeaking? I need more detailed information to pinpoint your problem. I installed my Ksports just a week ago and everything sits perfectly with no "spacing" anywhere.

It feels like there is some kinda space where the coil moves up and down, imagine a pipe and you put a small marble in there, if you go over a speed bump the ball will go up and down, but if you put a towel inside on both sides of the pipe and fill the space then shake it the ball wont move anymore cause the towel is preventing the ball from moving up and down.

Definitely make sure to re torque all bolts when the car is on the ground. I made that mistake and the whole car was making the sound your talking about like there was play on the coilover

I will tighten up all the bolts again, was it only the back for you that made that sound? after you tied it was the sound gone?

Which bolts am i suppose to tighten up when the car is on the ground? The wheels will be on so not many bolts I can check except the top part of the coilover.

You specifically mentioned the problem takes place in the rear.. So open your trunk.. Pop those black plastic pieces on the sides and tighten that nut down. Use an Allen key to hold the spindle in place and wrench the nuts..

Did you install the coilovers yourself? Or you had a shop do it? If you had it installed for you, please go back to the shop and have them check it out for you.. They're liable for their labor put into it.

I took it to a shop but I just want to know where the problem is coming from.

Mine made a clunk in the rear until I re-tightened these^^ nuts when on the ground. I'm betting this is the problem.

I tied up the nuts but I am still having the same problem. Do you think a alignment will fix the problem?

does it sound like a drop, you go over the bump and the strut compresses and then drops out after your over the bump?
