Shocks could possibly already be blown from being so low or it could just be them bottoming out on the bump stops.

IDK thats how my ksports on my cobalt were when i had them and it annoyed my so much, but i always thought it was because i bought them used (over a year) and they were worn. But i was also slammed.

ok i just installed my ksport coilovers and i noticed that the rear shock did not look right and i was not happy with they way they wanted it installed. i am a certified toyota tech and have done lots of suspension and alignment work it def didnt not seem right so what i did was take the plastic cover off the original shock and put the supplied washer on the ksport end and slid my original shock upper mounting plate with rubber gasket on it i also removed the oem bumpstop thats inside that there. which made it possible to use the original top side plate and rubber with has a grommet that is made to fit the hole in the body that the shock stem goes through them just tighten it down like the oem shock was my car has now noises creeking popping or binding

^what does this even mean? If you mixed and matched oem and aftermarket parts, than it should come as no surprise when it doesn't work out. I don't think they provide specific installation instructions to make you feel good.
