Default lowering spring ride quality comparisson

im looking for a set of lower springs and want something with a stock like or better ride quality i dont have the money for coilover so im looking for springs

now i did see a couple people say the s-tech are good at slower speeds but when you go fast it gets bumpy especially on bad roads

im looking at either eibach sportsline, h&r sports, or tanabe df210s not really s-tech because of the bad ride quality at higher speeds i will also consider others

TRD is a little stiffer than stock but still has a near stock ride quality. Personally I love them.

Go with Eibach Sportline. They use a progressive spring rate. This means that the spring rate gets stiffer as the spring compresses more. This will give you a better ride because they ride smooth and soft during most road conditions and then stiffen up when you hit large bumps (this is to protect your car and prevent bottoming out).

The oem springs are progressive as well as the TRDs and H&R. H&R is not available yet though...and there is no ETA.

and i think im going to go with the eibach sportlines should i have the fenders rolled or will they be fine im running stock tires and rims for now

Yeah you would need to call H&R directly. I really wanted them back in the fall but they couldn't give me an answer.

I'm on Sportlines with stock wheels and have ZERO issues with rubbing. No fender work is needed. However, you may need to roll with more aggressive wheels. I ran spacers for a bit and got some rubbing here and there from large dips and bumps.

The only thing that holds me back from the H&R Sports is their drop (only 1.4F 1.3R). I have grown used to my Sportline (1.3F 1.7R) and don't want to go any higher.

As far as ride quality goes, I'm sure the H&Rs will be very nice. Just need to figure out when the hell they are going to be released!

i also saw on a couple of sites the drop is between 1.3-1.7 in front and 1.7-2.3 in rear do you know how much yours actually dropped that just seems like a big difference between the 2 and what is it like a start drop and a possible when springs are on the car for awhile

There's no way I'm lower than 1.3F 1.7R. That would mean that I'm lower than S-Tech which def isn't true. And I haven't seen the car drop any more since thy were installed.

The S-Tech's are stiffer, but not terrible. Once I put my new wheels and tires on the ride smoothed out a lot. The OEM tires are kinda hard to help with gas mileage. Harder compound tires usually give a lower rolling resistance. I would not count the S-Tech's out. I wanted the Eibach's myself but they cost more and were not available at the time. A couple of guys had trouble with the Eibach's coils rubbing against each other. I'd make sure they fixed that issue before you go that route.
