<Solved> Noise when A/C is on and in Drive. 2016 Scion tC
I've seen other people posting about hearing a noise when A/C is on and in drive. I replaced my belt thinking that was the issue, it wasn't. I was told Toyota came out with a upgraded tensioner that I should replace that. The noise was so annoying I'd only really notice it when I'd be going thru a drive thru or something but it really sounded like something was wrong. Anyway long story short it ended up being the rubber exhaust mounts. I was outside my car searching for the noise and I noticed my tailpipe was shaking. Then when the noise stopped my tailpipe stopped. We just did a quick fix and zip tied the rubber mounts in the back and the noise is gone. I'll be replacing the rubber exhaust mounts Monday. I'm sending this from my phone so please excuse my bad spelling, grammar, and poor writing. That noise bothered me for months, I'm just excited to have it fixed and wanted to share in case anyone else has this issue.

thanks for tip! it's been driving me crazy too! I thought it was AC belt, but it doesn't do it when I first start car and turn on AC. Only when I'm ready to take off and put it in drive would it start squealing. Didn't make any sense! So very odd!
Now I know where to look, thanks!
