Default Tein H Tech vs TRD Springs

I was wondering if I could get first hand experiences with people running either of these two springs on their tC2?

Which is stiffer?
I am looking for something that is not too stiff but will help increase handling. if they are too stiff i expect major understeer, which is something we need to avoid in a FWD car because it is inherent.

I understand that if one gets a FWD car, one should have to deal with understeer but handling mods like swaybars can help reduce understeer quite a bit for FWD cars.

I do not want to consider S Techs because they are too low and are not much better in handling on stock tire applications (yes any common lowering spring - installed car will handle better with sticky, higher quality tires, but that is the tires' benefit overriding possibly shoddy springs.)
We see this here with RWD applications, but similar can be expected in FWD in terms of spring rates, low ride height and other aspects of springs:

I know i am not going to be autoXing or tracking the car in the near future - I just want a ride that performs well, handles nicely and looks better than stock.
Why should I care about which spring does what if I just want the car to look lowered?
That's just the thing, I don't JUST want the car to look lower.

Help is greatly appreciated!
please don't me

If I would to compare both springs...I would say they ride like the same, even though TRD springs are a LITTLE bit lower than the H-Techs. They're not bouncy or whatsoever, less body roll on turning.

These were my choices when my car wasn't lowered. I've had experience riding both springs and I couldn't tell any difference between the two. Lol.

I bought the H-Techs by the way....because they're cheaper. Hehe.

Yes! They met my expectation! I can get out of my driveway without scrapping my front bumper. Haha.

two-finger gap.

looks very nice

would these be lower than TRD in the back? or are they higher than a 1" drop? (i thought they gave 1.2" drop)

if TRD give lower drop i might as well go with them..

H-Techs have 0.9" front, 1.2" back.
TRD's have 1.3" front, 1.3" back.

Better yet....Go with Eibach sportlines. 1.3" front, 1.7" back.

Your call buddy!

The day I get Newman to slap on a set of Tein's is the day that has made this forum worth it! It will be a very proud moment for me.

well if TRD is lower then I'll go with those haha.
H techs are about the same according to pictures.

I promise my springs + wider wheels would look nice when I am done. not as good as if i had coilovers, but it should still look good and function better.

What???!!! Did I just hear you say you want to go lower and you want the lower option out of the two??!! Oh man, I can't even believe what I'm hearing!

You'll be really happy your TRD springs, and it will help your car look like a million bucks.

yes haha, i just didnt know they were lower than H techs. i dont want to go too low that i would have fitment issues with 18x9 rims, but i do want that medium height. sportlines are too low for my taste.
