Default New tC2 Owner, 30 vs. 45 Offset

Hey guys, new poster and new tC2 owner. I never bought aftermarket wheels before so I want to check with you guys first...

I'm looking to get new wheels for my tC2, preferably 19in x 8.5's. Currently I'm looking at the Five:AD R5:F's, but I'm pretty conflicted on which offset I want to pick up.

I spoke with a rep from Five:AD and gave me some info saying that the 30 offset will be a flush fit and the 45 being a more conservative fit. The question I want to ask you guys is, what's the difference between the 30 and 45 offsets and if you have pics of either?

Flush

Conservative

The rim will pretty much be flush with the fender. (Drop not included with low offset)

Great thanks for the fast reply, that comparison was exactly what I needed.

the difference is 15mm..... and i will bet the 19x8.5 + 30 wont be flush. and the +45 would be crazy weak.

Won't be flush as in it will poke out of the fender or tucked into the fender?

Here's some pics of the 19 x 8.5 30 Offset in the front wheels the rep sent me. The Rear wheels are 19 x 9.5 +35.

Default Window tint

Hey AwesomeX

Love those wheels. I'm definitely considering them myself. I do like the flushness in the pictures the rep sent.

(side note, if you're talking with the rep, can you find out the % of tint on the windows of their car? It's exactly the look I want)

I'll check with the rep for you. It's similar to the tint I have on my tC as well.

Nice ride, but I'd have to go with the 45 if that's what the 30 looks like.

^ x2. At least +30 up front and +30 & +10mm hubcentric spacers for the rears. and don't forget to slam.

screw that IIRC stock offset is 39, which is 6mm less then stock 2010 and below. i Ran 18x9 +16 on my 06.... i wouldnt run anything higher then 18x10 + 20 on the new tC and even then that might not make me happy, but maybe i look at things differently.

We'll see... I haven't decided yet. If I have time tomorrow, I'll check out the demo car at my dealer to see how they look in person.

I wish I could slam my car, but I don't have the driveway clearance. My cousin's slammed tC can't park on my driveway without breaking something...

I need something that looks good, but functional for my commute to school which is why I'm torn between the 30 and 45.

^19's alone will look very weird if not lowered at some capacity. Why not just the TRD 19's?

^ I will be lowering it, but not so much. Probably going with H-techs.

I love the r5:f wheels...i am def looking in to getting some soon...frankly I am in the same boat as AwesomeX though...this car is still a daily driver for me and can not be too dramatic...a small h or s tech lower is in my future and then same wheels as the car pictured...except I am going to go 19x9.5 all the way around instead of just in the back so I can fit some 255 tires on all for corners...I only have to decide whether or not to stick with the 30 offset in front that they pictured or change it cause of the extra inch of wheel I will have...but I like the look they have a lot...I just happen to like a very slight tuck.

Ask Matt from Five Axis (matt@fivead.net), he might have some suggestions for the 9.5's in the front.

The tint looks like it is either 15% or 5%. I just got mine tinted and I will post some pics, I love in Canada and the weather is crap for pics so it may be a bit before I get some good ones!
