Default Really Noob Rim/Tire Question

I want to get a set of the S5:F Rims for a 2011 Scion Tc I'll be getting. My question is; do they require new size tires as welll or can you get Rims sized for your existing tires as well?

If so, are there pros/cons of getting rims for the current tires vs new ones?

Thanks for helping a newbie out!

tC2 rims are 18x7.5
S5:F rims are either 18x8.5 or 19x8.5

meaning S5:F rims require wider tires

ok the width of the 18s are 8.5. and that on stock tires will be alittle bit stretched but if you want they would still work. in my personal opinion. id get new tires. atleast 235/40/18.

Yeah I'd probably just purchase them depending how much tires would cost me. I'll wait and do it sometime after purchase I suppose or maybe find similar smaller rims.
