Is this wheel real?
I recently bought my first scion, I've been looking for wheels all day and found these but I have no idea what they're called (or if they even exist since this looks animated). Anyways I've found similar ones on a different site, but not as good as these. I was just wondering if anyone could help me out.
http://i50.tinypic.com/333yfyt.jpg Also would 18x7.5 be a good size for this type? P.S. if anyone has any suggestions for wheels feel free, I like the 5-6 spoke wheels mostly. |
enkei rp03

Thank you! Do you know if they bend easily?
|
Enkei is a good brand name...depending on if you hit a curb or something any wheel will bend, you just have to take care of them.

Same, I'm having a hard time finding them in black..
I want to get 18x7.5 with an offset of 45 with the tire size of 245/45/18 Will that rub while my car is on stock suspension? Also will it rub after I put a 1.2-1.5 drop on? |

In essence the stock would stick out further than the aftermarket you're looking at. I'm running 19x9.5 with a 45 offset and didn't rub at all. But my rims are 2 inches wider than stock... And I'm dropped about 2 inches front and almost 3 in the rear |

Aluminum wheels will not bend if you hit a curb, they will simply crack/break or shatter. Steel wheels on the other hand will bend and can be bent back into shape.

Where did you get your engineering degree from genius? I'll show you a whole bunch of bent aluminum...in any kind of shape you can imagine...even ones that look like a wheel! I've bent my share of aluminum wheels racing cars.
PS pics or STFU :) |

Aluminum rims tend to break more often than bend, while steel rims are very hard to break/crack and they usually bend.

Where did you say you got your engineering degree from to be able to make such assessments? |
^you realize they use a different grade of aluminum on air planes right?
I think you should re-read all the posts in this thread and show which post I said I have an engineering degree in. |

...yes I realize that but, most of the aftermarket aluminum wheels out there are ____ and a regular set of steel wheels will be better and way cheaper.
Ps why do you write in bold? |
You did not state that at first...now you are qualifying your earlier statement. Yes, you buy a cheap a$$ Chinese wheel for $10, it will be made of recycled aluminum...you get what you pay for. :loser:

Most aftermarket aluminum rims are cheap ___ Chinese, in case you didn't know. BTW you would do horrible on the price is right. I don't know of any cheap ___ Chinese rims which cost $10 a piece to buy. They probably cost $10 or less to manufacture.
