the blue lines indicate the wheels you should get. you have a choice for the front wheels either 8.5 or 9.5

on TRD springs which is -1" off fron and rear u need 7.2cm front spacing to flush the front and 8.1 to flush the rear

so on a 2" drop those numbers will nees to be higher a bit

THOSE SEEM TO BE THE ONLY AND SAFE OFFSETS. IF u not satisfied you can alway use 5mm spacers!

id go with 8.5 and 9.5s because I dont like +45 offset, way to high, may be caliper clearance issues

thanks for public broadcasting mu private message!

lol its all good

very interesting info here....thank you

and i'd hope not to use spacers...but once i get the drop i will revisit the rims but all signed point to a 8.5 and 9.5 combo

If the wheel is 18x8.5 inches wide with a +35 it will fit, exactly like mine give or take a few mm's for manufacturing differences between companies. The difference will be in the thicknes and angle of the spokes, that is how XXR produces a wheel with a bigger lip.

But there was no caliper clearance issues? and how much if you dont mind did you pay for yours?

Caliper clearance is no issue period. Tons of room.

Mine are a bit pricey but well worth it. They are made using Enkei's MAT process which produces a strong lightweight wheel. Much stronger and lighter than XXR wheels. The MAT process is the next best thing to a forged wheel. My wheels weight around 18 1/2 lbs. each. Big improvement on performance, stock wheels are 27 1/2lbs for reference. So they are well worth the 900 bucks I paid. This is what I paid and who I bought them from, link below. These wheels come in silver, black and gold. Wish they had a bronze!!

Great seller, I had my wheels in less than a week coming from California. I am in S.C.

ive watched the video countless times now and i feel stupid, but how does a lower offset help to clear the caliper if there is a lip? i just dont get it lol?

The offset is a measurement from the center of the wheel, it has nothing to do with the lip size. Rim width and style do. I checked today just for to be sure, but I can easily stick my hand in between the rim and my front brake caliper. There is another 1/2" or so wiggle room as well.
Pretty much any 18x7 to 18x9.5 fits this car no problem with an offset of +35 to +45. 1stOne runs 18x9.5 +45 Enkei RPF1's...he has the TRD BBK and the front rims would flex under hard cornering just enough to barely rub the larger BBK calipers. I think he put a 3mm spacer in to stop the rub. Any one who doubts this, check his build thread, I did. The issue was wheel flex plus the BBK. He tracks his ride. +45 offset will not be an issue for caliper clearance.
I think you are getting hung up on the backwards aspect of the offfset math. The higher the offset number, the more the wheel will tuck into/under the car and vice-versa. Comprende?

Wow! Great thread! This is the sort of info people need when determining wheel fitments. But, most importantly, wheels and tires are not cookie cutter. What fits for one may not fit for another.

Always measure twice, buy once.

I challenge someone out there who tracks to do the extreme...go for 275's on 18x9.5's with a +35 offset and some front negative camber! That's what I want, but something tells me I'll have a small RWD coupe soon...

Must be nice.... I'm guessing your going to have the 1st rwd coupe lol. Is there going to be a RS or TRD version if so I'm going to have a rwd coupe also.

Why not go for 10's all around? It is FWD after all.

As with all Scions, there will be an RS at some point. Still no details on it at this time, but that's likely going to be the model I wait for. I wont have the 1st one this time (but only by choice).

I've been going thru this thread and still trying to figure what offset wheels I should get for this spring.

I got an offer for a set of RPF1 18 x 8.5 et30 5x114.3 /73mm bore off an 08 STi, and I wonder will they fit on my tC2!

Any helps?
