'06 xA Fog Light Install?
Just purchased OEM fog light for my '06 xA. Has anyone done the install themselves? If so, how difficult is it? I hear the '06's are prewired.
To get the "blanks" out, what do you have to remove to punch them out?
Any help is appreciated.....

The install is very easy. It took me about an hour total. Just follow the included directions step by step.
Just for anyone's info:
--For '06 fogs the bulb was changed from 9006 to H11.
--H11's are 55w bulbs designed for use in low beam headlights. (replacing 9006's)
--H9's are new bulbs designed for use in high beam headlights. They are 65w. The two have different base keyways that are supposed to eliminate the interchanging of the two. They were designed too close in design and they can be easily interchanged. That means that H11er's can use H9's in their place and run a safe higher wattage bulb.
--Silverstar's are yet to be made in either the H9 or H11 style.

Did the foglight install today.
Some comments and observations - I was concerned about the wiring part of this job. Turned out to be the easiest part.
The difficult part for me was installing the lights in the holes once you punch out the "dummy." The screws are fairly difficult to get to. Once you reassemble the plastic that protects the engine as the instructions indicate, the is no easy way to adjust the lights. Overall, the install took me about 2.5 hours. I am fairly mechanically inclined but certainly not a professional. I found the directions helpful at times but the drawings are difficult to discern at best- especially when trying to figure out the routing of the wiring.

Now one last questions. I was looking at the instructions of how to install the foglights in trdsparks with pdf format. It doesnt show how to get the wiring into the interior side of the car where u connect the on/off switch. I was looking under the hood and found no passage to stick those wires in
Has anyone install the fog lights themselves and know bout it. any input is appreicated. thanks!!!!
