Advice Pretty Please: Best headlight bulbs for 06 xA

Happy Saturday and Happy June my xA Comrades:

I want to replace my headlight bulbs in my 06; all my mileage is freeway and backroads, a lot of night driving, and I have a crap ton of coastal fog where I live.
I've heard Xenon HID are the creme de la creme, but I don't wanna go that route if they're just all hype.
I have occasional night driving issues so the brighter then better for me.

Any help would be simpatico, Thank you.

I got some Chinese knockoff LED bulbs for mine....the kind with a built in cooling fan in the back and they have been awesome.
I was hesitant and assumed they would burn out in a month or so considering the price (about $14/pair).

But, I've had them for about 5 months and they have been great. Bright as hell (72w)!

I went with some sylvania type LED after a halogen that came with my xA burned out on Xmas night. Then my landlord got bored one day and he restored the headlights and now I can see!!! ( yay) thanks for the advice bro much appreciated...
